Emily Benson

Legislative Manager

Emily joined Schwartz, Metz, Wise & Kauffman, P.A. in the fall of 2016 as the Legislative Assistant. After being with the Firm for five years, she is now the Legislative Manager overseeing all legislative testimony, bill tracking, and coordination of client events.

Prior to joining the Firm, she was a native to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she worked at B&M Oil Company as an inventory and accounts specialist where she oversaw a $1.2 million warehouse, serviced over 300 accounts, and was actively involved in the ExxonMobil National Account Program. In 2016, Mrs. Benson moved to Annapolis, Maryland with her husband Quartermaster Chief Petty Officer James Benson and their two children. Due to her husband’s Naval career, she now resides in Suffolk, Virginia. She has an Associates of Arts in Social Science from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College.
